Piercing my septum myself?

I turned 14 today and was planning on getting my septum pierced as a present from my dad. We went to three different piercing shops around town and all of them told us I would have to be 16 with ID for them to pierce me. So there no possible way for me to get it done professionally. I found a septum piercing kit online with the sterile needles, claps, and everything else I’ll need.
I’m wanting to know how difficult will it be to pierce it myself?
What are your experiences with getting a piercing done un-professional? (by yourself, a friend, etc)

well i know people who have gotten unprofessional septum piercings and they turned out fine
however i would suggest letting someone else do the piercing
have a friend or someone do it
itll be easier and quicker then doing it yourself
its easier to pierce someone else rather than yourself hah
and as long as the needles and everything are sterile it should turn out perfectly fine

Coming at the tail end of 1934, Housewife was released shortly before the imposition of the “Hays Code� would render its subject matter ‘verboten!’ This turgid melodrama finds modern bachelor girl Patricia Berkeley (Bette Davis) dueling it out with modern housewife Nan Reynolds (Ann Dvorak) for the affections and ministrations of Nan’s husband, William (George Brent). Ambitious office manager William finally succeeds in setting up shop for himself in the advertising biz thanks to help from copywriter Pat and ideas from housewife Nan. When his late nights working at the office with Pat turn into something else, Nan must decide if William is worth fighting for. That is, if Pat will let her. Davis is at her vamping, doe-eyed best as the jaded sophisticated Pat, a copywriter who knows how to spin the right line to lure a guy.
